~SoBe at Kroger~

Kroger is having a mega event this week, buy 8 participating products receive $4.00 off instantly. SoBe is on sale for $.99 if you buy 8 that makes them $.49 each . There is an e-coupon  on Kroger.com save $2.00 when you buy 10 SoBe Lifewaters. Here is how you get a great deal:

Buy 10 SoBe's = $9.90
Minus $2.00 E-coupon = $7.90
Minus $4.00 off for buying 8= $3.90
Use 4 B1G1 Free Coupons=  FREE plus .06 OVERAGE!

This will only work if the cashier puts in $.99 for the B1G1 Coupons.Even if they put $.49 you will still get 10 Sobe's for under $2.00.   Truthfully you could use 5 B1G1 coupons and get even more overage but that's a little more risky. I only had 4 coupons with me so I did it this way. Make sure you buy other stuff to soak up the overage. I have more coupons so I will go back and buy some more for cheap since I give up on CVS. :)

My Trip:

Bleach $1.47
(10) SoBe's $.99 each
(3) BeechNut Baby Food  $.47 Each

$4.00 off for Mega Event
$2.00 SoBe E-Coupon
$1.00 Coupon from last shopping trip
(4) SoBe B1G1 Free

Tax:$.48
Total Out Of Pocket: $ 2.27
Total Saved: $16.96

~CVS Trip~

Another trip to Cvs trying to use up expiring Extra Care Bucks.

(1) Gillette Proglide $9.99
(1)Zegerid  $9.99
(2)Head and Shoulders $4.99
(1) Pretzels  $.79

Used:
$5.00 Off $25.00 Email Coupon
$4.00 Gillettte Proglide (P&G 8-1-10)
$4.00 Zegrid  (All You Mag August)
$1.00 Head and Shoulders (RP 08/15/10)
$4.74 Head and Shoulders B1G1 (not sure?)
$10.00 Extra Care Bucks

Tax: $1.64
Total Paid Out of Pocket $3.65
Total Saved: $36.54
Received : $14.00 Extra Care Bucks

I have no idea why the cashier put $4.74 for the head and shoulders b1g1 free coupon, it should have been $4.99. I had $10.00 ECB expiring and nothing really jumped out at me that I wanted so I just got things that gave me more ECB's.

~Trouble with SoBe~

I have gone to CVS quite a few times this week mostly having no trouble at all getting my free SoBe. Well the last couple trips the cashiers have made odd comments. One cashier told me I couldn't use the coupons with the buy one get one free sale, and then another told me that CVS was going to stop allowing the use of more then one coupon. Her logic was that the coupon says one per purchase, which in my eyes means one coupon per sobe not per transaction. I emailed CVS to ask but it was returned saying they no longer monitor that email. So it looks like my fun with couponing at CVS may be getting harder. Anyway I have still had a few good trips ,

~More Cvs Clearance=Confusion!~

We went to my other CVS looking for more Oral Care Clearance . Unfortunately they didn't have anything so off we went to  my regular store.Luckily all my stores are within 5 miles of each other . I had told my Mom I would get her a SpinBrush if I could find another one, Plus my fiance had gotten a $5 off $30 coupon in email so this was a perfect time to use it. I found some Oral B toothbrushes and Crest toothpaste on clearance for $.94 and I had coupons for $.75 well apparently they were put in the wrong spot because after I checked out , got lily in the car , ready to pull out I decided to look at the receipt. It sounded like a lot out of pocket but I get sooo flustered at the checkout anyway I didn't pay  attention to it .Two toothbrushes and the toothpaste rang up full price .  I then had to get Lily back out of the car (in the 100 degree heat) and go back in to the store. The cashier that had rung me up  had already went on break so the other one helped me. Here is how my transaction was at first.

(1) Oral B Advantage toothbrush *Reg $3.79 *Clearance $.94
(2) SpinBrush (Arm & Hammer/Crest) *Reg $21.99 *Clearance $5.49
SpinBrush Pro Sonic                    *Reg $15.99 *Clearance $3.99

Scrunci  Hair Ties                       *Clearance $1.00

Used: $9.99 In Extra Care Bucks
$5.00 Of $30 Email Coupon
$6.99 Buy One get one free Bic Soleil ( SS 08/01/10 )
$4.00 SpinBrush Pro(SS 06/06/10 )
$.75 Oral B Advantage (P&G Coupon Booklet)
$1.00 Spinbrush (SS 06/06/10 )
$1.00 SpinBrush (SS 06/06/10 )
$.75 Crest (P&G 08/01/10)
$.75 Oral B (P&G 08/01/10)
$.75 Oral B Advantage (P&G Coupon Booklet )
$.50 Crest (RP 08/01/10 )

Total: 13.52
Saved: $82.83!

So after I went back in she ended up giving me back $16.15 Back on a gift card . It took a really long time for to figure out how to do it and by the end me and Lily were ready to go home but somehow I ended up ahead but since they kept all my coupons I'm not complaining!  Also My mom is paying for the two Spin Brushes so Im coming out way ahead.  :)  Also if anyone is interested in checking the Cvs near you for clearance on the Spinbrush there is a coupon for $2.00 Off  HERE  :)

~My Mistake =Confusion @CVS~

Im still trying to figure this trip out . I made the mistake of thinking all Schick razors were buy one get one free, really it is just the disposables. So here is what I was hoping to get.

SoftSoap Coconut Body Wash $3.00
Kotex U $4.99
Schick Extreme Razors $7.69
(2) Cvs Sunscreen 2.2 ounce $2.19
Buy one get one 50%     $1.09
Schick Quatro Razor     $9.99

Used Coupons
$4.00 Off $20 Email Coupon
$1.00 U by Kotex Coupon (Sample Coupon)
$1.00 SoftSoap Coupon (7-25-10 SmartSource)
$2.00 Schick Razor (All You)
$2.00 Schick Quarto (SmartSource 07/18/10)
(2)$1.00 Cvs Sunscreen from red coupon machine
$1.00 Kotex Coupon from red coupon machine
$4.99 in extra care bucks
My total came to $12.39  and  reaceived $4.99 ECB for the Kotex

I paid then stepped to the side to see why my total was so much, that is when I saw the razors didn't ring up buy one get one  so I waited for the line to go down and then went and asked. I was lucky the manager was working as cashier that day. After a few minutes of trying to figure it out we both realized it was because the Quarto is not disposable, I then asked if I could switch it for the right kind. It took him a few minutes to figure out how to do that without totally screwing us both up. So he ended up returning both razors, handing me the $18 dollars and some change that they cost and then re ringing the correct razors up I then paid $8.19 . So then I pocketed the $10 and change. So in the end the whole transaction cost me less then $2.00!!  There was peelie coupons on the razors , he took them off and said since I was coming out ahead he would use those coupons to make it right for the store.  I was extremely surprised how nice and helpful he was. There was two customers in front of me that was using coupons not meant for the extracare cards they were using and he got very irritated with them. I think I may right corporate a letter letting them know how helpful he was to me.  All in all a really great trip!
