~Super Cheap Playtex Sippy Cups~

I made another trip to Walgreens to get some more sippy cups. The cashier had a major issue while ringing me out. First the cups rang up as $4,49 instead of the sale price $3.99, so after I noticed it , I showed him the ad, he voided it out well so we thought.  Then the coupons were giving him trouble… my receipt is very confusing and very wrong. I ended up paying $8.22 and not until I was outside did I realize I paid way to much. So I went back in and we had to decipher what in the world went wrong. They didn’t spend to much time on it just concluded that the first void didn’t come off so they refunded me $4.78 , so this above cost me $3.22.   Technically I think they gave me back to much, but honestly I am not really sure how or what he did. I felt really bad for the guy though he was just giving someone a break.

I wanted to make it to Walgreens so bad yesterday so I begged my husband to stop on the way home from the park. Unfortunately that store didn’t have anything on my list So I again convinced him to stop at another one. It took me awhile to find what I was looking for cause they didn’t have the filler item I was looking for but he and Lily  '’patiently” waited for me.

Considering I love Hefty one zip bags and they are normally  close to $4 in stores …and the Disney cups are normally $5.99 I think this was a really great trip! My savings should actually be more but the cashier had to ring the hefty bags as half price because the coupon wouldn’t go through correctly.

I was a little concerned using the Hefty coupon because it is on 2 and it was a buy one get one free sale BUT the policy says I can use two coupons on a B1G1 sale so I thought this was ok and the cashier didn’t think it was wrong either.   I have heard that some are not allowing the use of the infant care book coupon and regular coupons BUT I have never had an issue. I think its just like any other Walgreens coupon and you can stack. Apparently this can vary though, but even at $1.99 a piece that’s a great deal for the cups.

I made another trip to Kroger yesterday, this was because the store I went to earlier in the day was out of a lot of items I needed. (all of my Krogers are very close so its not really a big deal to run to Kroger.)They were out of Sobe too but I got a raincheck and might wait until the sale is over to go get it just because the customer service lady said Pepsi is in everyday but with the sale it has been going like crazy. Just in case you don’t know the sale is buy 10 get 5 free so in the end it is like paying $.67 each.  That’s not the greatest deal since we mainly drink water , but I have $1.00/4 coupons and its nice to have something else to drink in the summer time. The Suave ended up being $.06 after doubled coupon and the Snuggle was $1.99 . I am allergic to different laundry products and have to use the free and clear . Finding a deal on that version is very hard so whenever I see it cheap I pick some up. I think I have some $.75 coupons I may have to go pick some more up.Last time I had to buy laundry detergent I paid close to $5 for downy and that was on sale and with a coupon

*Just a tip when stockpiling deodorant, Keep in mind deodorant does have an expiration date on it (usually on the bottom) When I first started couponing I went crazy and got a ton of Dove deodorant FREE and I honestly didn’t think about it expiring. In fact I just realized it a couple weeks ago! I went through all mine and luckily only had two or three expiring any time soon so I threw some into the donation box and then asked family if they needed any. I did have one secret that expired in 2008 and I know I bought it recently so maybe something even to check before you buy   I have noticed its usually 2 to 3 years after you buy it.  If you do find some free or super cheap but don’t really need it, Donate it! or share with family *

I ran into Remke again yesterday, I am slowly starting to love this store . The normal prices are a bit pricey  , but their sales are wonderful! The gas program is awesome too! I transferred  my prescription yesterday and when I go back to pick it up I will get $1.00 in Pump Perks

What are Pump Perks?

Pump Perks is Remke/Biggs version of a  fuel program, For every $10 spent you will earn $.01 off a gallon of fuel at Speedway , up to 20 gallons! And every week they have specials on different products for different amounts of pump perks. As an example: Cottonelle Toilet tissue is say $15.99 and you will get $.20 pump perks.(just an example, I don’t know the real price)

I did buy the Nesquik coupons on Ebay so I have to equate that into my spendings/savings. I paid $3.94 for 20 coupons , I plan on picking up more Nesquik when I got to get my prescription.

~Quick Cvs Trip~

I got an email coupon for $4 off of $20 so I quickly got a list of items that would make good deals and ran over to my local CVS. I always like to try and make the most out of the email coupons by buying one item that we really need and then buying other items that I have coupon for and come with extra care bucks. The Pampers easy ups were my main purchase with everything else just being stockpile/donation items. I just had a root canal so the candy will probably sit around for awhile before it gets eaten lol. Also always look for the products with bonuses attached, the Bic Soleil Razor came with a free pair of headphones $18.99 value!

I am very happy with this because several items were without coupons and I finally found a place that sells my daughters chicken nuggets! I really hope they do this again but I think they got hit harder then they imagined. Also I found out on my last trip that they were not following policy and allowing more then two identical coupons (I saw the mustard lady…. Noone needs 45 mustards…)

Just my take on it but Mustard goes on sale often, if you have a big family yes four or five is acceptable but really 45? Sales cycle around so we should stock up just eough until that next sale
